Beirut, Lebanon – On Friday, the Lebanese army forces shot dead three militant fighters of al-Nusra Front in the suburbs of Arsal region, near the Syrian border.
Lebanese local media reported that among the fatalities was Adham Shedad, a prominent member of al-Nusra Front (Syrian branch of al-Qaeda).
The militants were reportedly killed while trying to cross into Lebanon from Syria through the security checkpoint of Wadi Hmeid in the vicinity of Arsal.
