Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan – The U.S.-led international coalition’s military forces has continued to attack terrorists of the Islamic State (IS/ISIL) in Syria and Iraq during the last two days.

Coalition military forces conducted seven airstrikes in Syria using attack and bomber aircraft. On the other hand, the coalition military forces conducted 13 airstrikes in Iraq approved by the Iraqi Ministry of Defense using fighter, attack and remotely piloted aircraft against IS terrorists.

“Today’s airstrike details highlight that clearly identifiable ISIL units, equipment, leadership and vehicles will be struck with utmost precision through our dynamic targeting process,” said Combined Joint Task Force Public Affairs Officer Col. Wayne Marotto.

“These strikes, conducted on a daily basis, have lasting results as they degrade ISIL’s fighting capability and allow the ISF the ability to go on the offensive.”

In Syria, five airstrikes hit the radical group’s locations in the  countryside of Kobane, causing an extensive damage to several tactical units and destroying seven IS fighting positions. In Hasakah, two airstrikes struck an IS tactical unit and destroyed an armored vehicle from the group.

In Iraq, three airstrikes struck three IS tactical units in Bayji and destroyed three IS fighting positions. Near Ramadi, three airstrikes struck three IS tactical units and three IS heavy machine guns, destroyed an IS checkpoint and an IS excavator. In Fallujah, an airstrike destroyed two IS vehicles and a heavy machine gun. Finally, another airstrike in Sinjar destroyed an IS building and struck a fighting position.
