Urfa, Turkey – Militant fighters of the Islamic State (IS/ISIS) have been bombing the town of Tel Erran in Aleppo countryside in northern Syria for two consecutive days, local activists reported on Saturday.
“The town saw heavy shelling by the radical group,” media activist Khalil Telarrani told ARA News in Tel Erran.
“The bombardment claimed lives of dozens of civilians in Tel Erran in the past two days,” the source said.
On Saturday, the group launched a campaign of arrests among Kurdish civilians north of Aleppo.
Kurdish villages in the vicinity of the IS-held al-Bab city saw a wave of arbitrary arrests by IS militants, local sources told ARA News.
“Dozens of young elderly Kurds were arrested in the village of Qubbat Shih,” a local sources said on the condition of anonymity for security concerns.
“IS terrorists claimed that the arrestees violated the Islamic Law and will be prosecuted and published by the Sharia Court in al-Bab city,” the source said.
In ar-Raee town north of Aleppo, IS militants arrested at least nine Kurdish young men on charges of cooperating with the Kurdish forces against the group.
