Aleppo, Syria – At least 18 civilians were killed Friday in airstrikes launched by the Syrian air forces in Idlib province, opposition sources reported.
Speaking to ARA News in Idlib, civil rights activist Hussam Halwani said that 18 dead bodies of civilians were pulled out of the ruins of damaged residential buildings following a regime-led bombardment with barrel bombs.
“The attacks targeted at least five villages and a hospital, and came in response to advances by the Syrian opposition against the regime in Hama,” the Syrian Revolution General Commission said.
Syrian opposition forces announced Frdiay morning the capture of two towns on the outskirts of Hama.
Dozens of pro-Assad forces were reportedly killed in the offensive in Hama.
