Qamishli, Syria – A car bomb attack hit Wednesday a center for the Kurdish Asayish forces in Qamishli city, northeast Syria, causing the death of at least 13 people, security sources reported. 

Asayish sources told ARA News in Qamishli that an explosive car led by a suicide bomber hit Rumailan Garage next to the Asayish security center in Antaria district.

Medical sources in the city confirmed to ARA News that at least 13 people were killed during the attack, including ten civilians and three Kurdish security members of the Asayish.

Meanwhile, the Islamic State group claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s attack in Qamishli through a statement on its official account of Baraka State on Twitter.
